2010 Racing Rules
Schedule
Sign-ins will be 8:30 to 9:30 A.M.
Handlers meeting at 9:45 A.M.
Racing to begin at 10:00 A.M.
There will be 8 Points Races for the 2010 season.
There are 7 scheduled points races.
Each class's Trophy Race will be the 8th points race.
There will be 1 dropped points race.
Must run 4 points races with at least 3 cars for driver to be eligible for points series.
Must run 4 points races with at least 3 cars for class to have a points series.
QMA running order will be used each week.
The first class out will be the next weeks last class out.
Example; Week 1 Jr. Honda, Sr. Honda, Hvy Honda, Lt. 160.
Week 2 Sr. Honda, Hvy. Honda, Lt. 160, Jr.Honda.
Novice classes will be first out every week.
Racing Rules
1.
All cars are subject to safety and technical inspection.
2.
Any class must have a minimum of three cars to be awarded points. (classes must run 4 points races to be considered a points series)
3.
Late sign-ins will be lined up at the end of the class.
4.
In the event of rain, any class completing heat and features will be awarded points.
Classes that do not complete heat and feature will not be awarded points. Classes that did not complete heat & feature will make up points race on next available date.
5.
In the event a weekly show is rained out and a points race is scheduled, Race
Director will determine next available show to replace as a points race.
6.
Line ups will be determined by a pill pick at sign-in.
7.
A-Mains will be inverted.
8.
All lower mains, including transfers will be straight up.
9.
Laps will be as follows: Jr. Classes:
Heats- 15 laps
Features- 20
Trophy- 30 laps
Sr. Classes:
Heats- 20 laps
Features- 25
Trophy- 40 laps
Laps subject to change per decision of Race Director.
10.
Any engine changes between heats/timing and features, driver will start at the rear of the lowest main as per QMA.
11.
All races will run a three-lap rule with the exception of a trophy race, which will run a five-lap rule. Laps will start once flagger has cars lined up. Race Director will determine rule for special races. (Classic, Jay Butler, Turkey Derby etc)
12.
Upon completion of heats, a short intermission will take place. Race Director to determine length as needed.
13.
Judging - If any person designated to judge, does not fulfill his/her responsibility, their driver will miss their next race.
14.
In the event of possible rain, Race Director will make decision to run transfer races back to back to complete Trophy Race.
15.
Random classes to be teched each week. Race Director and Tech Director to determine classes and cars to be teched. All classes will be subject to the possibility of being teched every week. All fast times and trophy race cars to be teched as per Race Director and/or Tech Directors decision.
16.
Attendance at GSQMRC events is not a right, it is a privilege. We operate under the jurisdiction of both QMA and NJ Motor Vehicle Race Track Regulations, 

a. Any inappropriate conduct, harassment or abuse directed towards members, officials, parents, drivers, spectators, or volunteers will not be tolerated; including but not limited to abusive language or motions.

b. You will be warned once, if you behavior continues you will be asked to leave the immediate racing area, possibly the facility.
c. There will be ZERO tolerance.
17.
There will be no practice on Sundays except for trophy classes.
18.
No race will start unless Judges and Tower are in place.
19.
No kids in staging area with the exception of drivers for the next two races.
20.
Wristbands must be worn in the pits.
21.
Time limit

a. If time runs out under green, next yellow or checkered is end of race.

b. If time runs out under yellow there will be a re-start, next yellow or checkered will end the race.
22.
Two handlers per car in the hot chute. Handlers must wear numbered vests.
23.
Everyone in the hot chute and around the track must wear safety vests.
( Handlers, Corner Workers, Race Director, Flagger, Pit Stewart, etc.)
